<div itemprop="description">Born June 11, 1921 in Victoria Harbour. Died at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland on September 29th, 2016 at the age of 95 years. Beloved husband of Beryl for more than 71 years. Loved and missed by his children Joyce, Wendy Anne, Harold (Carol), Gordon (Bev) and Valerie. Loving grandfather of Heidi, Sally, Ben and Paul, and also great-grandfather to 12 grandchildren in Australia. Jack will be greatly missed by his siblings and inlaws: Gordon (the late Vera), Edna (Gordon) Barratt, Jean (the late Bert) Calvert, and Lorne (Theresa), as well as sister-in-law Barbara Belcher. Predeceased by sisters Pearl (the late Clarence) Pearsall and Gladys (the late Bud) Todd, and by brothers Lloyd and Ted. Jack will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Jack served overseas in the Canadian Army in World War II and married Beryl Allen in England; she came to Canada as a war bride in 1946. In 2014, Jack and Beryl moved from Toronto to Tiffin House in Midland to be close to their sons and other family members. The family thanks those who have been so supportive and caring during Jack's declining health. A funeral service will take place at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 303 Third Street, Midland on Wednesday, October 5th at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Victoria Harbour Union Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Sleeping Children around the World would be appreciated.</div>
