Passed away at Georgian Bay General Hospital Midland in her 98th year. She was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) Horning, grandson Shawn Porter, sister Betty Duquette, brothers Bill and Jack Streahorn and son-in-law Eric Olson. She is survived by daughters Lynda (Eric) Olson, Mississauga; Elaine (Richard) Porter – Cargill; grandson Tyson Porter – Kitchener; extended family ‘daughter’ Sandra (Neil) Wood – Midland; special family friend Virginia (Bill) Handy – Midland; sisters Dorothy (Arnold) McQuay – Toronto; June (Ross) Sutton - Kelowna BC; Jean (Edward) Thompson - Campbell River, BC; brother Douglas (Marjorie) Streahorn - Norland, sister-in-law Eva (Bill) Streahorn; sister-in-law Jean (Herb) Appleton; grand-daughters Shealene Walton (Porter), Jade Peat (Porter) and great-grandsons Branson Porter and Carter Hewitt. She will be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and caring friends. At Mary’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service or visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 598 King Street, Midland on Thursday, April 14th at 2:00 pm. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
